CPACT is proud to have conducted its annual awards gala, the CPACT Choice Awards 2019 in Dorval on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Sheraton Montreal Airport Hotel. TD Canada Trust and GemsTelecom was the event’s presenting sponsors.
The Gala was attended by High Commissioner of Pakistan, His Excellency, Mr. Raza Bashir Tarar, Dr. Eduardo Franco, Chair McGill Oncology, and Faculty of Medicine. Francis Scarpaleggia, Former Member of Parliament and current liberal nominee for Lac – Saint – Louis, Frank Baylis, Former Member of Parliament for Pierrefonds-Dollard. Jim Beis, Mayor of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, Monsef Derraji, Elected Member of the office of National Assembly for Nelligen, Quebec, Mary Deros, City councilor of Park Extension, Marwah Rizqy, liberal MNA for Saint-Laurent Sameer Zuberi, Liberal nominee for Pierrefonds Dollard, Mariam Ishaq, Conservative nominee for Pierrefonds – Dollard.
The gala segment featured international celebrities, Samina Peerzada, Usman Peerzada and Aqeel Abbas. The event was hosted by CBC radio television celebrity Ali Hassan.
Dr. Eduardo Franco, Chair McGill Oncology, Faculty of Medicine,was invited to highlight the affiliation endeavors between CPACT and McGill Oncology. He reiterated that the affiliation with CPACT will enhance the measures required for educating and training of next generation of doctors who will treat cancer patients, and the scientists who will make great discoveries in treating and preventing this disease.
